Sizing/Quality Exchange Policy

If there is a sizing problem with your order, SkiHats.com will exchange your hat, for up to 30 days of purchase.

If there is a quality problem, SkiHats.com will exchange or repair your hat for the life of your hat, so long as you were the original purchaser. After 30 days of purchase, shipping to and from SkiHats.com is the burden of the purchaser.

Return Policy

If you ordered an in-stock hat through our eCommerce site, SkiHats.com provides a 30 day exchange/refund on any unused item, less Shipping and Handling.

If you ordered through our patent-pending coloring brochure and did not custom embroider text on the hat, SkiHats.com provides a 30 day exchange/refund on any unused item, less Shipping and Handling. Occassionally, an item is so poorly color coordinated that we would never be able to resale it. If this occurs, we reserve the right to refuse a return. THIS IS RARE, but not impossible.

If you placed a customized text on the hat, it is highly unlikely we will accept the return or an exchange. All returns are ultimately at SkiHats.com's discretion.

Return Policy on "ugly" custom made items

Over the years we have made some really ugly color combinations....like REALLY UGLY. In the past, we blindly accepted back hideous colors that would make Medusa herself cringe in anguish and remorse...in the name of customer service. Unfortunately, people have abused this policy so it is no longer in effect. These are custom hats that you are ordering/designing...many people are involved in developing a single hat.

If we think your custom designed color combination is ugly, we will not accept the hat back for a refund (our exchange policy still applies...however the color combo will be the same ugly color combo that you originally had). Based on the past, this rarity only occurs in 1% or 2% of the Coloring Brochure orders (most of our customer's have excellent color choices).

If you have an ugly hat, we sincerly apologize for any inconvenience. But we are committed to no longer accept back "experimental" hats.

How do I know if my color combination is really that ugly?

As of November 10, 2005, you will know that SkiHats.com considers your color combination ugly by the lack of SkiHats.com or Skullz tag on the outside of the hat. If there is no tag...the hat was labelled "ugly". This rule applies to all hats EXCEPT the "Qix" beanie, which does not come with a label.
